Sigeria is the name of this huge rock. Hundreds of years ago, a king claimed it as his fortress. Now, they let foreigners pay USD 25.00 per person to climb up it (locals pay 30 cents).



Below, these notches were the original "stairs" that the people used to climb up to the top. Seriously now, that's pretty impressive.


Lots and lots of stairs. We're not exactly sure who does the maintenance checks to ensure that the stairs are still connected to the rock.

At this point in the climb (see picture below)...

... we read this sign and nearly collapsed with laughter (or exhaustion). please note the part where it says "WE KINDLY EXPECT..."! We did all participate though - in the restoration of the 8th wonder of the world. And we intend to indicate as much on our resume's.
